In summer cruise ships constantly arrive and depart, momentarily swelling the population of the city I live. Intrigued as to how an actual experience on one of these ships compared to the imagined, or cleverly marketed holiday, I embarked upon the Pacific Dawn for a Week Magique. What I disembarked with was sunburn, a reduced attention span, consistent nausea and a flashing cocktail cup.
