Amanda Shone is a Melbourne/Naarm based artist.
Through an installation and performance based practice, she responds to the physical, elemental and nuanced histories of place. She invites the audience to explore the tension between actual and pre-conceived ideas of experience. Her work is currently investigating the interconnection of personal and collective memory in public spaces, and humanity's bind with the natural environment.
I acknowledge that I live and work on the sacred unceded lands of the Bunurong Boon wurrung, and Wurundjeri Woi–wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay my respects to Elders past present and upcoming, and all First Nations peoples.
