Artwork > What We Remember / What We Forget Working Water: Making Home Queenstown Heritage and Arts Festival 2014

What We Remember / What We Forget uses the motion of swinging to transport us to childhood, connect us to the atmosphere and offer a moment of individual reflection on Lake Margaret.

We become a pendulum, measuring time and sensation. Pivoting from a stationary point it is as though we are swinging from the present, through the past, into the future, and back again, as our volume and motion creates a personal wind current, momentarily altering the elements. From a removed position by the cliff edge and overlooking Lake Margaret Power Station and village this work aims to offers new visual perspectives, and reflect on the sublime natural and built surrounds.
